Niece, Tracy (37) has started chemo for breast cancer. Please pray for healing and that the Lord would use this time to soften her heart . She was raised in the church, but has fallen away. My sister-in-law was just diagnosed with terminal cancer in California. Please pray for that family also. My brother is having a hard time and needs to be lifted up to be strong for her.

My sister, Kim Homewood, is a cancer patient at MD Anderson in Houston. She has complted 4 months of chemo and 2 surgeries. She was scheduled to begin 6 weeks of radiation a couple of weeks ago, but has been experiencing setbacks due to infection from the surgeries. She is currently in ICU at Gulf Breeze Hospital (she lives in Pensacola) with a spiked fever of 104. Please pray specifically that the doctors can find the infection and treat it and that she can make it to Houston to begin radiation. Kim's husband, Steve, is with her. They have 3 young children. Thank you.

Shane McMeans is dying now from a long battle with cancer. He is 42 years old, he is home with his family, they are cherishing these last moments with him. His mother's name is Mary and his dad's name is Tim, they will miss their son. His wife's name is DeeDee, she will greatly miss her husband. Shane has two boys, Garret (10 years old) and Cooper (14 years old). They will miss their daddy so much. Pray however holy spirit leads you to pray for this family. Jesus, thank you. For everything. Please be in pray for Kevin Thompson (an employee of mine) and his family. Kevin’s youngest son, Ryder, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia about 2 weeks ago and will now be living at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital for the next 6-8 months. Kevin’s wife is staying with Ryder while Kevin takes care of their other 2 children. They go to see Ryder each weekend but that is getting to be expensive since the Ronald McDonald house requires that you are there every night through the week and his wife stays with Ryder. Pray for provisions for an apartment to open up near the hospital, the emotional struggles for the family – mom is away from the family all week, Kevin is now mom/dad, the kids are having many disruptions that they don’t understand and especially that God will heal Ryder’s little body.

Update on John Gregory Batchelor. Praise God John Gregory is now home! God is good! He has a long road ahead of him, doctors are saying three months before he can walk. Pray that his anxieties will vanish and he will have that peace that passes all understanding. Pray that God will reveal His plan for his life and how he can use this situation for God's glory. Praise God for He is faithful! Update on my friend's son: Today has been a good day for him. He has been upgraded from critical care to guarded care. They hope to move him to a regular room tomorrow. He is talking, responding well to stimuli, but of course in a lot of pain. Biggest concern and prayer request is for protection from infection. Because of this risk they want to move him from intensive care to a regular room and then as soon as possible ….home. If all goes well he should be going home in about a week. His parents and family members are humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love, concern, and prayers. They have seen many miracles and answered prayers this past week and they believe God has big plans for John Gregory’s life. John had a 5 hour surgery on Thursday to correct his pelvic/spinal injuries and it was a very successful surgery but complications continue to arise and he is dealiing with a very high level of pian. My sister, Emily, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma a week ago. She is 42 years old, married (Dwight), with two children (Sara Grace is 9, Carson is 6). The only family members in her hometown (Johnson City,TN) to help her out are my 70 and 73 year old parents. Fortunately, my parents are in fairly good health and can help out in most areas. Dwight is in school full time and will be required to travel out of town a 1-2 weekens a month for clinicals until he graduates in May. She has a large tumor on her left kidney - too large to remove at this time. She started sutent today hoping the mass will shrink to a manageable size for surgery in about 3 months.

I was just reading some of these prayer requests.I pray for signs and wonders,deliverence,healings that will surprise the medical staff,and those in prison delivered,set free and used by God to witness to those in prison with them. Awakening in the church,forsaking what the world offers,receiving only from God,sanctification.My pastor said last Sunday in his message series when we see Jesus he wants to see just a glimpse of His glory now.This is a Baptist church that does not believe in healing and signs and wonders.In this pastor's heart is the fire of God. My Mother-in-law, who was in remission for over 5 years, is fighting cancer again. She’s responded very well to the chemotherapy so far. One tumor is gone and the others have reduced by half! Nonetheless, she needs all the help she can get from the Great Physician! Something about her “blood counts” is way off and the doctors want her to receive a shot that will help correct this. Unfortunately, two of the side effects are stroke and heart attack. Please pray that she recovers from this shot, that her health improves, and that the LORD provides a healing that can only be explained as miraculous. If this is not the LORD’s intent please pray that all is right with her soul and that she’s ready to go to Heaven. I believe she’s saved, but I’m pretty sure her children are not. We can’t know the mind of the LORD or His plans, but perhaps my mother-in-law’s family can find salvation through these trials. Either way, may His will be done. Thank you.

My mother Carol will be having joint replacement surgery at Huntsville Surgical Center behind Huntsville Hospital on Monday October 24, 2011. The operation will start at 1:00PM or so. Pray for healing of 7 yr. old Josiah Dover with leukemia. He is in St.Judes and just started treatment. Parents are missionaries and had to return to America quickly. Dad and Josiah rushed home to Birmingham leaving mom with a 2 & 5 year old. They packed,and upon arriving in Rome airport, mom needed to go badly to the restroom, but there was a sigh, NO LUGGAGE IN RESTROOMS. A woman standing by the door offered to watch her luggage while she and the boys went inside. Thinging this is risky, but needed to go, said Yes. When she came out the lady was still there with her luggage. (Guardian Angil). Turns out this lady was going to Tuscumbia, Al. God does put his people in our path! Pray for Josiah!

7 year old Sasha from East Limestone County is suffering from a late-stage childhood cancer that is typically fatal. It was undetected until it was in stage IV. She is undergoing experimental chemotherapy at Children's in Birmingham and is suffering from agonizing pain as well as nausea. At one point her mother said that she was sleeping 14 out of 24 hours and screaming in pain for the other 10. She is an only child and her parents are devastated. Hello everyone: I am so happy to be one step closer to graduation. I am so ready to start my career as a kindergarten teacher just like my grandmother was. TEP stands for teacher education program. I just now got several E-mails from my school telling me that all the paperwork has been processed and I am now officially in the program. All I have left to do before internship is to pass one more class and pass the Praxis. I am going to need everyone's prayers like never before on this one. In order for me to do my internship in January of 2012 I must have the Praxis passed by or before the end or the start of November. We are supposed to get our internship placements on December 1, 2011. But if I don't have the Praxis passed I will be dropped from the internship program until I do pass the Praxis. I have only 2 more tries this year to take and pass it. September and in November 2011. However if I am forced to take it again in November I am not sure if my test results will get here in time for me to do my internship anyway. Please pray for Pam who is a member of Asbury and is a missionary in Hondorus. I just received this email from Roger and Pam is gravely ill. Please pray for complete healing! Dear Liz and Bobby, I have just returned from Chiquimula Guatemala after being with Pam all day. The doctors told us to prepare for the worst, and in the early morning her condition had not changed. Later in the today she seemed to get much better, and was able to talk and pick things up with her hands. Today for the first time I could have a conversation with her. This is an incredible improvement. This little hospital is a teaching facility, and she was visited several times today. However the doctor cautioned me not to be too surprised if her condition changes for the worse. Meaning she is still in danger and still needs our prayers and thoughts. At this time they are calling her condition Toxic Hepatitis brought on by an extreme reaction to the medications she took. The lab reports show her liver enzymes to be very high. One enzyme that has a value range of 8-33 is showing 16,000. The doctor said that this level is impossible to have and still live. Her color is still normal and the doctor was pretty impressed that her color could be so good with such a strong indication of total liver failure. We will get other lab work done tomorrow. I think I am going to chalk that one up to the power of prayer. I would like to answer all the emails but here have been to many to do in one night, so I am sending this update instead. We are blessed to have prayer teams praying all over the world for Pam. Words cannot express the thankfulness we have for all our friends. A few of you have wanted to help with donations towards the medical bills, and since down here there is no medical insurance any small donation would help. This is an update on my sister-in-law. Please continue to pray for her. Alisa's CT Scan last week at the conclusion of eight clinical trial treatments with Bendamustine and Rituximab for Follicular Lymphoma (stage 2) showed no significant change. The scan at three months showed a 51 percent reduction and at six months about a 20 percent reduction. This time, one tumor grew one percent and the other tumor reduced one percent; more or less a slight change in shape. She will commence the maintenance drug Rituximab in one month and will be treated for a period of two years. The oncologist is hopeful that the maintenance drug will control the cancer. As Alisa said, "I am at the mercy of this drug and my body." Prayer, nutrition, and exercise are also an important part of her recovery. Please continue to support her in prayer for good results when the CT Scan is repeated in six months. The oncologist does not want to continue scans more often than necessary as she has already had four since last fall. Her attitude is remarkable! Alisa is very focused on faith, nutrition, and exercise.

Please pray for me. I've been diagnosed finally after many doctors and tests since last November, with a rare blood disorder. There is no cure, but there is treatment. I have had 3 treatments so far. I basically get a transfusion every 3 weeks that takes 8 hours via IV. I get platelets, red blood cells, and antibodies. The first treatment helped but I only kept a tiny bit of what they gave me by the time of the next treatment. This past Sat. when they checked my levels I didn't keep any of what they gave me on the 2nd treatment, so it did nothing. Please pray that the treatment starts working. Otherwise they will have to change the brand for a second time. The first one I had a severe allergic reaction too. I was supposed to start at every 28 days for 4 hours. Now its every 21 days for 8 hours. My levels are so severly low that it causes me pain to the point of temporary poralysis and fatigue. The treatment will keep me from getting sick, give me energy like I've never had, and make my pain go away. So, please pray that it works or they find the one that does. Hello everyone: My family and I really need your help praying for a close friend of our family. His name is Stan. He and my father Michael work for the same company and have for many years. My father just got off the phone with him and his condition for the esophageal hernia that he has been diagnosed with is much worse then ever now. His operation is schedule for this Monday May 16, 2011. We are very very concerned about him. He says that the operation is now a life and death thing. They say they will now have to remove some of his stomach and there is a chance during the operation he could have a mild heart attack. They say that he will be in the ICU for observation for about 10 days after the operation. He has had this operation before but they were only able to repair the issue. That was 3 years ago. The repair did not hold so he now has to go through all this again. Both he and my father have a very demanding job. They travel for a living. They go out of town every single week. They only time they come home is on the weekends. Anyway he has asked me to ask for as many prayer requests as I can get to help him and his family through this difficult and scary time. Personally I have never talked with him in person nor have I ever seen what he looks like but I do talk with him on the phone whenever he calls wanting to talk to dad about work stuff. Anyway please pray for him and his family. Thank you.

UPDATE: There have been alot of people praying for Jeff Paris. I recently learned that Jeff had lost a kidney a few years ago to kidney cancer. His current kidney has been failing causing the complications he has been suffering after his brain tumor surgery. This is a copy of the email my friend Bill Johnson just received. Jeff Paris is being moved to Alive Hospice this afternoon. His condition has deteriorated dramatically over the last day or so. All the family is with him except Matt who is in route from Kuwait and will arrive tomorrow at 5:30 pm. Miki asked that we pray specifically for Matt to make it home in time to be with his dad. UPDATE: Jeff Paris has his tumor removed from his brain stem at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville and has been in recovery for about 10 days. His recovery has been very difficult. Jeff is currently being feed through a feeding tube and is still in intensive care. The doctors have had trouble controlling his fever due to bacteria in his spinal fluid. Bill told me today that they believe he has a kindey failing possibly cause by a blood clot. My sister Terri is having severe back pain and she has been living with pain from 3 neck surgeries for 16 years and now it is in her lower back as well. I am 35 and a member of Asbury. I am asking for your prayers. I found out Friday my diagnosis after a long battle of illness and paralysis. I have Common Variable Immune Defiency (CVID). It is inherited and I just found out, I have had it all my life. I have to get IV transfusions of (blood, protein,antibodies and red blood cells) every 3 or 4 weeks for the rest of my life. ... There is no cure. The transfusion lasts for 4 hours a session. After about 3 months I should have my energy back, and my headaches, pain and fatigue gone! I asked them to give me a treatment right then and the oncologist laughed and said it would ruin my blood work he had to do. I go tomorrow for a CT and Saturday for an MRI to check or organ damage. My bloodwork is being sent to the Mayo Clinic so they can tell my doctors the best mixture to give me. I think I am still in shock! I haven't had a meltdown or burst into tears yet. Either that or I've had so much happen that this is just another thing. I also have a very strong Faith! God will watch over me and take care of me and my son! Miracles can happen, so please pray! UPDATE on Becky O Hello all - this is Dorae posting on behalf of my Mom!!!! Mom's colon cancer surgery yesterday went very well. Dr Ghanta talked to us afterward and said he did exactly what he had told us he would do when we met with him last week which was remove the ascending colon, all surrounding lymph nodes that feed into it along with the tumor..., and reroute her colon. The pathology/biopsy reports will not be back until Fri/Sat he told us that he feels very confident that the cancer was contained in the colon and that she should make a full recovery. By the time I left around 8:30 last night they were getting her pain under control and she was resting. Continue to remember her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through the recovery period and that in 3-5 days she can go home! Thanks again everyone for your prayers and comforting words over the past couple weeks!! My family is truly blessed to have all of you in our lives!

It is a very large mass and has been debilitating him for a few weeks, so even though stomach cancer is generally operable, this prognosis is not good. In addition, his recent insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions, so he has no insurance for surgery. My wife lost her mother a few years back, also to cancer, and she is of course extremely distraught.He has a wife and two young children and his wife does not work, so they would have a very difficult time surviving without him, especially since her English is not very good.

Some really super powerful things are happening in Buen Pastor Prison in Costa Rica today. We have seen the Holy Spirit calm a room that had a lot of tension. We have seen women forgiving each other, and so much more. Please pray that two ladies reconcile and one forgives he other for killing her family member. It just so happens that God place them on this Kairos together at tables that are side by side. Lots of conflict happened between them and the kitchen and prayer team were asked to pray immediately...within 30 minutes or so the room was calm and everything ended well for the day. The team is EXHAUSTED so pray for strength and a good night's sleep. Tomorrow is the forgiveness talk and is going to be a very special day for many!

I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first child was born in January of last year and, due to fetal distress, was delivered via c-section. I have prayed my hardest that this pregnancy will not result in a repeat c-section. But, I went to the doctor today and was told that I am not dilated. My doctor and husband are intent on a repeat c-section because, as I progress, I run the risk of a uterine rupture which could cause lasting problems to our child. I was offered a c-section today and declined. The hardest part is that our OB is going out of town Tuesday and will not return until Thursday or Friday. So, if complications occur, I will have to be seen by an OB who is not familiar with my case. At this point, I'm just praying for the wisdom to know what the best decision for our child is. I don't want to be selfish and hope for a natural delivery and run the risk of complications to my child. However, I don't want to have a surgery, which also could cause complications to me and the child, if I don't have to. I would just like to have a natural delivery without complications.

Friday I had to go to the ER because all of the sudden when I urinated I had a ton of blood that came out and horrieble pain. I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago, so I knew I had to reason to be bleeding like this. After tests were ran I found out I have a severe urinary tract infection and bladder infection. They were both so swollen that they were bleeding. The bleeding seems to have stopped this morning, (Praise God) so please pray that the pain and infection will go away soon. Also I found out I have a upper respritory bacterial infection with pneumonia, so I am exhausted! Please pray that this will go away soon as well, because I need my energy to take care of my son. My immune system is really run down. I thank God for my sister Rhonda and her boyfriend John for taking care of my son and getting me to the ER! They are such a blessing to us! I am 35 and having a supracervical hysterectomy this coming Monday, Jan.17th. The surgeon will be removing my uterus and ovaries. This has been a difficult decision to make, but I feel like I have exhausted all other measures. I was told to arrive at 7am. I'm not sure when the actual surgery will begin, but he said it would take about 3 hours. I will be in the hospital at least one night and will stay in a nearby hotel thru Thur. and will hopefully, come home Thur. afternoon or Fri. Please pray for me. I am 35 and I have fibromyalgia. I've had it for at least 5 years. For the last 5 months my pain has been unbearable. I am a single mom and recently I started waking up paralyzed and in the worst pain of my life. The specialst has ran so many tests and can't find out what is wrong in addition to the fibro to cause these symptoms. He tested me last Tuesday for rare cancers and is sending me to a neurologist to make sure there are no tumors on my spine putting pressure to cause the symptoms. Also the neurologist is going to make sure I don't have neuropothy. My doctor is already treating me mush more aggressively for the fibro in case all tests are neg. Then we will know it's just a really extreme case if fibro. Also, I have had my house for sale for 6 months and no prospects. Please pray my house will hurry and sell. I recently divorced and can't afford it alone. Also thank God for moving in my life and blessing me in so many awesome ways!! I'm so thankful for my blessings. God bless you all!! Please pray for my ex-husband Kevin that he will understand the need and importance of understanding and accepting our son, Zackery's autism and special needs. His dad and I were married for 14 years. Zackery will be 10 next week. He has not had a single meltdown at my home since his dad moved out 1 year ago, which is unheard of! Our divorce was final March 31. My ex-husband remarried a woman he had just met, on July 6 and she served him divorce papers 3 weeks later, stating she could not deal with Zackery. This devastated our son to go through the change when he was still dealing with our divorce, now a step mom and finally so excited to have a stepbrother. Then to find out he now had no brother. She convinced my ex-husband to spank him during autistic meltdowns, resulting in more meltdowns and being kicked out of camp. He had to get counselling due to her exposure. Now she has been back in his life for the last 5 weeks and he is affraid and confused. His dad cannot see this for some reason. Pray God will open his eyes so he can protect our son like a father should. Zackery has been having meltdowns and had to have special intervention at school since she came back. I am so worried about him. It is out of my hands and in the hands of God and we need your prayers. Besides God, my son is the most important thing in my life. Please pray and pass this along. We need all the prayers we can get. On a positive note, Zackery was Baptized on Sunday, Dec 19 at Asbury and is so happy about his decision. I am a single mother and I have had my house for sale for 6 months, so I also ask that you pray my house will sell soon. So far God has provided for us and we are so thankful! While in New York over the Thanksgivingl holiday, Kelli was taken to the hospital with a kidney infection and kidney stone. The doctors did surgery to place a stint in to relieve the pressure from the infection but could not remove the kidney stone at that time. Kelli is home now and is going to the doctor today to see when she can have a second surgery to remove the stint and kidney stone. Please pray that she can have her surgery soon since she is in a lot of pain. The doctors in New York also notified Kelli today that she has a suspicious spot on her pancreas and needs to have it checked out. Please pray that the further testing on her pancreas will turn out well an that she will be restored to health quickly.

My uncle, Ray, is extremely ill. He has several severe complications going on right now. He has cancer (confirmed in one area and suspected in several other areas), his platelet level has plummeted and he is now classified as a hemophiliac. They are trying to correct this enough to do the biopsy on the other areas and not endanger his life further. They also are very concerned about him hemorrhaging so they have limited his movements. This was all diagnosed late yesterday and earlier today. They are a strong, Christian family and would appreciate your prayers greatly. Please pray for my uncle, his wife, Lett, and their four grown children, Lonnie, Sharon, Teresa, and Leah.

Praise God!!!! My father David B was discharged from the Hospital today a little before 1pm. The ER said that there were no trace of the old blood clots and no evidence of new ones forming. I have Sarcoidosis and Fibromyalgia. I qualified to be in the Sarcoidosis Clinical Trial that is now underway at Vanderbilt Medical Center. I request prayers for healing for a friend's husband, Chad, who has been battling a brain tumor for months. In my friend's words: "The last month and a half has been a difficult time. Chad suffered a seizure back in July and has had a tough time trying to bounce back. On Tuesday (8/31/10) we did an MRI and the results show the tumor has progressed to the cerebellum as well as the outer lining of the brain. I need prayers and so does my sister, Patti. I am in very low spirits since my boyfriend broke-up with me last Saturday. I turned 49 last week and have never been married (though I came close twice), so this was really hard. I felt I had finally found a true compatible mate, and I am devastated. There are other mountains in my life to overcome as well. As for my sister, Patti, she really needs prayers--she is caregiver to her long-term boyfriend's 94 year old mother. An implanted medical device that keeps her alive has literally broken through the skin and is threatening to fall out which will end her life (Hospice has been "bandaging" it back in). The patient wants to die and join her deceased husband, but as you can imagine this is a tough situation--there is a moral and medical battle going on right now between the family and the doctors as to whether to intervene, disconnect the device and end her life under a controlled, medical environment (which the American Heart Assn approves of), or to let it just "happen" one day, which brings fear into the family's day-to-day goings on. This is a tough situation any way you look at it. Thank you for your prayers.

He just had his eye removed and has started yet another round of chemo. I have a praise! A friend and I laid hands and prayed for my Mom for healing while she was here visiting from Louisiana recently. She was having back problems and knee problems and could hardly get around at all. Monday, June 21. My mother, Maxine, suffered a brain hemorrhage yesterday afternoon and is in the Huntsville Hospital Neuro ICU. She was on a blood thinner due to blood pressure and heart problems and it was a miracle she didn't bleed to death. It has not worsened overnight but she is still critical. They are doing another CT scan or MRI today to check the arteries.

My best friend Mary just called to let me know that her husband Jim is being transported via ambulance from Pensacola, FL. to Shan’s Hospital in Gainesville. He has AVM (Arterio-Venous Malformation) and has had numbness on his left side for about 2 weeks that hasn’t resolved itself, so he went in this morning for some tests. The doctor called Mary and said he’s not leaving. He ran another test and discovered a blood clot in his brain. Mary is driving by herself from Pensacola to Gainesville. She’s not sure when the neurosurgeon will do the surgery, but has been told that the doctor will be there when the ambulance arrives. Additionally, her sister-in-law, Melissa found out that her daddy has cancer; the same kind of cancer that her husband died from 2 years ago. Melissa’s daddy is in the hospital in Florida now and is in a medicine-induced coma and has been placed on a respirator. Please pray fervently for this family; they’ve traveled through so many valleys together…thankfully they praise God through the storms.

Please lift my mother-in-law and step-father-in-law in prayer. He is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and is not willing to seek help. He is very angry and easily agitated. My mother-in-law is so sad and heart broken to see him like this. Please pray for their marriage as well; the stress from it all is taking its toll. Pray for God to give him a sign that he needs to seek professional help (that he will seek help & that it will truly help him), and pray for my mother-in-law to be surrounded by her prayer warriors and friends at church.

Praises to the Lord that He is truly is Jehovah Jireh and He cares for us so much: 1. God provided for my husband's missile test to be a great success yesterday and that my husband will get to come home for sure on Wednesday after being gone for a few weeks! 2. The power steering in my car went out in a safe place (my driveway!) and God provided the funds for the repairs through an income tax refund just a couple of days prior! 3. God is providing lots of cool animals from Old MacDonald's Petting Zoo that is closing to the new Harvest Youth Club Petting Zoo! 4. God is growing us by giving us the opportunity to spend even more time with Him through the Storehouse which is going 24 hours today with intercessory prayer and praise and worship!

Please pray for my brother, Jim T. The place on his neck is a form of cancer but we do not know the type yet. He will see an Oncologist on Tuesday and get the test results and learn what options are available for treatment. Please pray that he will be physically strong enough to tolerate the treatment. My daughter-in-law Jenn who had surgery and radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer last year has found out now the cancer has spread to lymph nodes in her neck and will require surgery to remove it and more radioactive iodine treatments. I pray that god will be with her and her doctors through this time and that she will be healed.

My 3 year old nephew, Henry, was born with Marfan Syndrome. I know very little about it other than it effects his muscles and they are not developing as they should. He is unable to walk as yet although he is trying and now has braces on his legs. This past wed. the Dr. discovered and anyerism in one of his main arteries. Our family is very devastated but in much prayer waiting for this Wed. meeting with the specialists. Please pray with us for Henry. He is absolutely one of God's special children. My Uncle, Rick , is currently in the hospital in Jackson, MS at St. Dominic's Hospital. He has 5 blockages and is having bypass on Wednesday morning. My Dad, Robert is going to be traveling to Jackson for the surgery and pick up my Grandmother, Doris then traveling back to be here for my graduation on Thursday so keep him in your prayers as he travels.
